Viruses are one of the major threats of our world today. In addition to well known common viruses, many more localized and climate-limited viruses have conquered new territories, becoming a threat to the world population than ever before.
Goldcrest Polychem offers routine and special diagnostic tests for viruses such as HIV, Hepatitis, Japanese encephalitis and Dengue virus, among others.

Human Immunodeficiency Virus
The most advanced stage of HIV infection is Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). It remains one of the world's most significant public health challenges. HIV/AIDS is the world's leading infectious killer, claiming - to date - more than 27 million lives.
The HIV 1/2 Ag Combo is for the qualitative and rapid detection of antibodies to all isotypes (IgG, IgM, IgA) specific to HIV-1 and HIV-2 in human serum or plasma.

Hepatitis virus
Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, most commonly caused by a
viral infection. There are five main hepatitis viruses, referred to as
types A, B, C, D and E. Hepatitis A and E are typically caused by ingestion of
contaminated food or water. Hepatitis B, C and D usually occur as a
result of parenteral contact with infected body fluids (e.g. from blood
transfusions or invasive medical procedures using contaminated
equipment). Hepatitis B is also transmitted by sexual contact.
HBsAg- a lateral flow chromatographic assay for the visual qualitative detection of hepatitis B surface antigen in human serum or plasma.
HCV Ab - for the qualitative detection of antibodies specific to HCV in human serum or plasma.

Dengue virus
Dengue is transmitted by the bite of an Aedes mosquito infected
with any one of the four dengue viruses. It occurs in tropical and
sub-tropical areas of the world. Symptoms appear 3—14 days after the
infective bite. Dengue fever is a febrile illness that affects infants,
young children and adults. Dengue haemorrhagic fever (fever, abdominal pain, vomiting, bleeding) is
a potentially lethal complication, affecting mainly children. Early
clinical diagnosis is essential and careful clinical management by experienced
physicians to increase survival of patients.
Dengue IgG/IgM Combo - intended for professional use as aid in the presumptive diagnosis between primary and secondary dengue infection.
